Reiki, pronounced "Ray Kee", is derived from the Japanese words Rei, "Universal Life", and ki, "Energy". It represents the life energy that flows through all living things. It is an ancient healing art in which universal energy is channeled through the practitioner to palms of his/her hands. Thus, a Reiki treatment is noninvasive and involves the placing of hands on various areas of your body to promote the body's innate ability to heal. This may be experienced as feeling relaxed, a deeper sense of relaxation, release of an emotional blockage or shifts in an emotional or physical symptom that you are experiencing. During a Reiki session, all your vital organs are treated. Treatments may be provided on either the front, back or both sides of your body. Before each session, the shift you are wanting will be discussed. A session can last from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your needs.
